Join the Nonprofit Center for a series of workshops to help developing and smaller organizations educate their volunteers and staff on the roles and responsibilities as Treasurer or Finance Committee, reading financial statements, basic daily financial management, budgeting, and important reporting requirements.
Session 2: The "Audit" and Examining the Fraud Triangle
The word "audit", everyone in the nonprofit sector uses it, but what does audit really mean? Are there alternatives? This session will review the varying levels of attestation, and what each includes. This workshop will also examine the Fraud Triangle and using internal controls to help insulate your organization from fraud.
