Agata is the Nonprofit Center’s Resource Coordinator. She is the first point of contact for Nonprofit Center visitors, phone inquiries and online requests, and she coordinates the Jessie Ball duPont Center’s tenant programming.
Agata first discovered Jacksonville as an AmeriCorps volunteer with the L'Arche Harbor House community in 2009. Since then, she has dabbled in community organizing, traveled the country teaching speed reading classes, and coordinated an exchange student program in Tallahassee. Her most recent work was in public health outreach with the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County, where she led local implementation efforts of statewide health initiatives relating to infant mortality and the reduction of the burden of tobacco use on society through partnerships and local education efforts. Agata is thrilled to have found her way back to the nonprofit sector and is looking forward to supporting local nonprofits in their important work.
Agata is originally from Warsaw, Poland, and lives in Springfield with her husband and two young children. Her backyard houses Overalls Farm, an experiment in a sustainable neighborhood farm model. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Theology. Agata is an advocate for local food, health equity, breastfeeding, and sustainability. She is also a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and is available to check car seats by appointment.
